First things first, Nic's Recovering the Body has landed via my sweetie-shop
man who keeps my mail for me. I collected it half an hour ago and am saving peeping in there until I am Ireland-bound on Thursday 31st at the striken midnight hour. It's a Cinderella flight, sure hope my leather boots and green suede coat hold sway and do not crumble from me while in mid-air. : ) Thanks Nic. Will be looking out for something treat-ish for you.

Puppy Love

Aren't they the cutest ever? There are seven in total...the little one with the patches is the one most like Dick! Thankfully they are all spoken for as it would have been tempting to adopt one!

Dead Drunk Dublin

Dead Drunk Dublin have accepted 4 new poems and 2 previously published poems for publication. They have asked for more as they want to make a collection and put them all together for
publication on their webzine. I'm thrilled about this - it means a lot being able
to find a place that publishes previously published work.

They do music, flashes, stories and all sorts - an interesting find and worth checking out.

Connected...Holiday Photos

Yes, yes, yes, I'm back online from the comfort of my own futon - no more young boys playing war games on neighbouring computers, no more itching to connect and not being able to...one thing I have learned from being offline for 3 weeks is that I spend too much time online - must definitely curb that urge : )! Have had loads of time for cleaning the house, planting new flowers, touring villages, hanging out with people and last but not least taking photos everywhere I went.

I'm in the process of uploading some to flickr which is here.

And here are a few of my favourite ones - the pregnant Virgin and the very lovely dog are made from sand, the blue house out at sea is my dream home, the sunglasses and coffee is from time spent with great reading material, in the shade,loving the shadows, with cappucinos. : )

King's Day Eve, Chapbook Reading and Still in Internet Cafes

Boy, do I miss my internet connection - roll on the morn of the 8th when computer guy comes laden with technical remedies to my house.

Today is a super-duper buying day here - markets and bars are open till tomorrow morn as the big pressie-giving night is tonight due to tomorrow being King's Day/Ephiphany. Unfortunately the weather has channged from blazing sunshine to an orange alert for storms and high seas.

In between lunches and dinners out and general revelry, I'm reading Michi's Greek Letters - a very fine way to pass the time under an umbrella in a sunny terrace with milky coffee by one's side.: )

Another read I'm enjoying thoroughly is Rob's Crown of Natural Sorrow.

I'm looking forward to receiving Collin's Slow to Burn.
I've also read quite a few other poetry books which I'll make a note of at a later date.
