Is this little cutie a Bon-Bon or what?

She arrived on our doorstep 2 nights ago - she couldn't climb over the little wall on to our balcony and was screaming her head off! When we saw her we thought that she was en route with her owner somewhere but she hung out outside our door and we could hear her whimpering in the night - as if she were talking to herself or in her sleep. I got up and left her in the kitchen, the next morning the place was a disaster - the smell horrific. She was sick all over the place - it has taken at least seven washes with boiling water and stong smelling cleaning material to begin to eradicate the smell.
We started looking for her owner but nothing. It was funny watching her take off walking in the valley with Vladi. She stuck by his side and stopped when he stopped, watching him all the time. In the meantime, I got in touch with Loly who is the treasurer of Anahi, the animal protection society here. She told me that it was impossible to adopt these little hunting dogs, that nobody abroad nor here wanted them...I practically begged her to help us as we just can't have another dog, we will be leaving in 4 weeks for a six week spell off the Island and can in no way afford to keep another dog. Loly is fantastic, her husband, Manolo who is the president of Anahi has decided to adopt her - Gawd this is the most wonderful news - the only problem is that we are afraid the original owner will come for her and around here they don't treat these little beauties very well. We are going to have to hide her or something until we get her to Manolo and Loly. But can we leave her in the kitchen again while we are at work???!! This is definitely the year of the dog - in more ways than one!
