Dick is in his element, so much so that he is chancing his paw and trying to boss poor eleven year old Páidi around - he tries to mount him sideways - all lady-like as he can't reach his hind quarters! : ) There is still no hope of getting him a 'home'...we may be stuck with Dick - the only time that it becomes tricky and expensive is in the Summer when Vladi and I go away for about 6 weeks and we have to leave the animals in a kennels and it costs a human arm and leg. If anyone fancies a spell in a cave house, in the middle of nowhere looking after Dick and Páidi from August to mid-September, write me a note : ))
I am plugging away at the poetry in 30:30 - I'm on the 11th day and hopefully will be able to keep at it till the bitter end.

You know, it looks like you live in a lovely place. I bet you really COULD get someone to stay at your house for a few weeks in exchange for dog care. How far is the water? Why not try?

Yeah, I reckon there would be some people interested - we've had friends stay before - the problem is usually getting someone to stay the whole 5/6 weeks - it's more than the average holiday time! I'll have to organise myself better and plan for next year as it may be too late for now. There
is always Christmas also ; )
The beach is 20 minutes/half an hour away - going North or South.
I will try and get some proper photos together - the place is pretty isolated and it isn't really luxurious or anything but while others are sweating it out in their posh bungalows, we are as cool as anything inside the cave house. Oh and it is quite ideal to write in : ) Let me know if you ever get the feeling you might like to do it : )
