New Wooden Porch ...Baking Bread
(looking slightly flat and needing a burst of heat ;))
Ever since the last big wind snapped our canopy in half (at the same time as I was in mid-flight and about to land on the island!) we've been wondering how to get some shade and protection on our terrace...we thought of another canopy but the price was colossal so we have ventured out and are getting ourselves a wooden porch. The two carpinters are in action as I write. Can't wait to have it...
Seven years after getting our very fancy cooker,I have baked my first loaf of bread...this is quite funny really considering one of the main reasons put forward for getting an oven was the idea of freshly baked daily bread like my mama used to make : )

You know what? the bread was a disaster...too hard and too flat...(but the birdies loved it : ))got to get on the phone to my mum to get the recipe right! ; )
And the porch is great - all wood and piney and quite high too - will post a photo when I get my act together.
Re: 30:30 can empathise totally with the difficulty in doing backtoback 30:30 (shudder, shudder)...will leap into the poetry saddle again some time soon but over the next few days life is too choc-a-blockish...
am dancing a jig for you at nearing the end of another 30:30...well done: )
