30:30, Amazon, Holiday Countdown and Pets

I've been neglectful of my blog even though I do love it dearly...I had another 'what the heck is my passowrd' dilemma but got it sorted!

30:30

Still ploding along with 30:30 but can't wait to be finished. I'm wondering how I'll fare for the last 6 days when it will be travel, family get-togethers and racing into Internet cafes....anyway we'll see.

Amazon

Vladi and I have ordered our holiday reading from Amazon and they are supposed to be arriving at my parents on the 8th, the same day as us, hopefully! I really want to read more of Zadie Smith so have ordered 'On Beauty' and 'The Autograph Man'. I've also orderd 'My Sister's Keeper' by Jodie Picoult and 'The Time Traveller's Wife' by Audrey Niffenegger. Can't wait to plunge into these plus the possibility of browsing English book shops and stocking up on more.

Holiday Countdown

We leave at dawn on Tuesday the 8th. It will be a family-affair nothing as exotic as last year (Vietnam and Thailand) but we are hoping to get a RyanAer flight to maybe Amsterdam, Paris or Budapest for 5-6 days of exploring and annonymity :)

Páid and Siam

We are leaving Páid and Siam in a kennels and cattery....leg and arm prices as supposedly top-notch place! Must admit to being sad at leaving them...but there is no other option.

liz!!! glad i caught before you leave for the holidays. hope you get through the last 6 days. my concentration just splits when i'm away. and internet cafes don't sound particularly comfy.

let me know what you think of the time traveller's wife... i'm still uncertain if i want to get it.

no venice??!! though i don't blame you. hee, i wouldn't come to venice even if they paid me to tour it. rome is better. and aaaaah, paris. paris is paris.

hope you have a great time!!

hugs,
arlene
