10:10 at ITWS

I'm on day 4 of 10 poems a day at ITWS It's good to be back writing again even if I feel I am scraping the bottom of the poetic barrel with some of them.
I haven't submitted to zines since January so have nothing to look forward to on that front. I'm thinking about entering a competition or two to up the stakes a little. It will help settle me to actually revise the poems I have.

Revision is one of those necessary evils that we put off - but that's when it becomes the most effective to us. Let it sleep, sleep - then snap and there it is.
great to hear that you're back writing, liz!
hope you start sending your work around again.
you've got escape rabbits and horses there, too? i remember our trek up this mountain and suddenly this silly cow, clopping down the mountainside, lost control and headed at full speed toward us. the wild panicky look in her eyes was the scariest thing i've seen. after that i've grown wary of ungulates. hee.
love that pic — i suspect that's the broom you used on the goat?

Sam, hi, thanks for your wise thoughts - I have to admit to being a very slow and reluctant reviser....I have to really be in the mood and return to revise when it no longer feels like my own poem.
Arelene, hi there - liked the cow story : )
No, I haven't got rabbits nor horses ...but over the past few months have been 'offered' rabbits, a donkey, a goat and a ginger cat. : ) We have to draw the line with Dick - no space nor money (nor energy)for more : (
P.S. arlene, the broom belonged to Don Simeon, a poor old gent who has just recently passed away, he was called Don Simeon after the brand name of the carton of wine he used to be seen drinking while sitting on that chair supposedly minding goats! : )
