Dick is Free-ish ....Still some convincing to do though...

Just talked to the owner, it involved hanging around country roads until dark when the owner comes to feed the animals. He said 'No Problem' and the cost is 30€ for Dick and 20€ for a bag of spuds that he wants me to buy too! I was diplomatically trying to get him to agree to not put another chained dog there - not sure if that has sunk in yet - this is the bitter-sweet side-effects of getting Dick - the thoughts of another dog being put there gives me the worst shivers ever :( ...will try to mention it again tomorrow when we meet for the possible handing-over of Dick, spuds and euros! Will have to think what is best to do - have Dick with us 50% of the time, including nights and from mid-afternoon to 9pm ish he could be at the owner's place - this would deter him from putting another dog there- got to really think this through as not sure what to do for the best! The worst possible scenario would be Dick here with us awaiting to be adopted (hopefully in Holland or Germany ) and another dog chained up and me worrying over him too! Gawd!
